The exciting new frame for Olmo this year is the Kurva. Seventy years of exquisite bicycle craftmanship have delivered a technological design in carbon fiber.The Kurva is a monocoque design using the new SSV technology. Olmo uses HM and HR carbon fiber of the highest grade and achieves a frame weight of 1180 grams. The frame shape optimizes stiffness, compliance and lightness in an all around high performance bicycle design. The frameset includes a full carbon monocoque fork and integrated headset.

This frame has been assembled with an innovating titanium/carbon fabric studied as an Olmo’s exclusiveness. This very new tecnology permits to increase the break limit of the carbon of the 12% without compromising the comfort of the frame (this is a characteristic of the carbon monococque frames). This solution also permits to increase the capacity of a better absorption of the accidental push andof the vibration of the road.
Last but not least, all the above mentioned characteristics permit a fall in weight (about 10%) without compromising the quality and the security of this frame placing it at the top of the carbon monocoque frames.

The Zeffiro VCT is made with the latest composite innovations:
Unidirectional high module carbon (T700) which gives the frame great stength and rigidity
Vectran, a superfibre that is two times stronger and five times lighter than steel. It has excellent resistence against bending, cuts and stretching
Kevlar which gives it great toughness to the frame in case of crashes and falls
Boron/Carbon, a very hard and rigid new composite, which under the shape of 4-5 mm wide stripes, is placed in the zones of the frame more subjected to torsional stress
The result of this mix of fibres is a frame extremely rigid against torsional and side stress and gives the bicycle very good stability during high speeds, high efficiency during pedaling.
