Carrera Podium SRL announces the introduction of Pantani Bicycles in memory of famous Italian bicycle champion Marco Pantani. The Pantani Bike was announced at Carrera-Podium headquarters this past July in Calcinato, Italy. After his tragic death in 2004, the family of Marco Pantani started a foundation, ONLUS in his memory. David Baifava and the Pantani family created Pantani bicycle to promote the legacy of the great champion. The foundation benefits troubled youth by creating sport programs and mentors for them. Proceeds from the sale of each Pantani bicycle goes to ONLUS.
Carrera Podium is the manufacturer of Carrera bicycles and is owned by founder David Boifava. David Boifava is most famous for directing Team Carrera in the late 1980s and 1990s, and for bringing Marco Pantani into professional racing. Pantani Bicycles are distributed in North America by Red Rose Imports of Lancaster, PA. Red Rose Imports has been the exclusive U.S. distributor of CarrerPodium bicycles since 1994.
