As an entry level model in the “carbon” line, Nitro presents a
comfortable and reliable frame to the amateur customer looking for a
versatile bike, adequate for training and for a more professional use,
confirmed by test-bed results in the Podium R&D lab.
“Solid
Carbon” technology allows the creation of a monocoque frame with the
absence of critical points throughout the whole block. This gives the
Nitro structural rigidity, balanced by the anti-vibrating effect of the
rear-end which is designed to contrast and absorb imperfections of the
road surface.
Production uses a pressing technique that combines
three different types of carbon, split into percentages according to
statistical calculations derived from computer analysis of frame
behaviour during road use: 80% T-700SC highly resistant carbon weave,
15% M30J-3K “High-Modulus” carbon fibre, 5% “High Strength” 60T carbon
fibre and K12 carbon fibre weave for an even superficial aesthetic
effect. The polymerisation of the fibres is done through a
high-pressure autoclave with air-tight control during the whole thermal
cycle.
