The new aerodynamic, silver-grey Ultegra was optically and technologically inspired by its great sister Dura-Ace. Weight has been reduced by 150 grams compared to the previous 6600 series (and -44 grams compared to Ultegra SL). Highlights of the group are the new crankset with Hollowtech II- and Hollowglide technology and the ergonomically designed Dual Control STI shift-/brake levers. The crankset features a hollow outer chainring to save weight and improve stiffness. The STI units offer better ergonomics and improved shifting and braking performance. Shift cables are now hidden under the handlebar tape without sacrificing performance. Ultegra components combine race-proven technologies with ergonomic design at a high performance leve to suit all kinds of road cyclists.
