Apex is SRAM's new entry level groupset. Apex has all the functionality of the higher groups but uses less exotic materials to keep costs down. The Apex group also features an 11-32 10sp cassette option, a first for a road groupset. This gives a gear ratio spread normally only associated with triple set ups without their disadvantages of weight, aesthetics and fickle front shifting.
